Aquivaldo Mosquera Romaña (born 22 June 1981 in Apartadó) is a Colombian footballer who plays for Mexican side Club América as a defender. He has a younger brother named Josimar who currently plays for Colón in Argentina.

Career

Prior to his move to Sevilla in 2007, he played for Atlético Nacional and C.F. Pachuca. With Pachuca, he won two Mexican Championships(Clausura 2006 and 2007), a CONCACAF Champions' Cup in 2007, and a Copa Nissan Sudamericana in 2006.

Mosquera has been called up to the Colombian national team on several occasions including for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers and for various friendlies. He was the captain for the team during the first half of 2010 WCQs. He later signed a new contract to return to Mexico to play for Club America. Mosquera made his debut with Club America on July 15, 2009 in a 0-0 friendly against the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer.
